Bring the green cord through the orange loop. Step 6. Pull both the green and orange ends of the cord to tighten the loop closed around the two strands. Step 7. This is how your knot should look, with the orange cord pulled over the two strands and under the green knot loop on the left side of the two strands.
Begin by cutting the paper into small triangles, perhaps an inch to an inch and a half across the long side. Brush glue onto the backside of the paper and then roll the paper onto the straw. Cut off the section that is now covered in the paper to form the bead. 3. String the bracelet.
For a triple-wrap, multiply your wrist by seven (7″ wrist = 49″ leather). It is better to leave your leather too long than to end up with not enough. Cut a long piece of thread (10-12 feet) and thread your needle. Knot the end of the threads. Knot the leather and thread together, leaving a loop on the end.
Step 2: Cross the right outer strand over the tail of the left outer strand, then under the two center strands, and up through the loop of the “4” shape. Step 3: Pull the two outer strands to tighten the knot. This is half of a spiral knot. Step 4: Repeat steps 1 to 3, but always start with the left outer strand.
4. Tie off the first row. Pull the string and beads taut so that they are all lined up tight against the knot at the end of the string. Tie the short knotted end with the long loose end in a secure knot. Cut off the excess string from the short end, but leave the long end of the string intact.. 5. Bead the second row.
Slide the last row of your finished beadwork inside the tube compartment, with the rest of the piece emerging from the slot. Fold the open end down to secure your piece in place. The tube accepts round seed beads up to 3mm in diameter. Tip: If desired, apply a small amount of adhesive to the tube before closing the end.
Beads of 6 mm to 8 mm are considered medium-sized and are perfect for making necklaces and bracelets. The tiniest beads between 3 mm and 4 mm are typically accent pieces placed next to larger beads. The size of your beads will depend upon the project at hand. However, as a beginner, you should select beads sized 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm as a start.
