Way too muchGore, not for kids. As with the rest of this series there is no shortage of young children being hurt and killed in horrible and gory ways. This book describes toddlers being maimed and killed with explosives. There is no way this book is appropriate for any child to read. Teens would probably be ok.
It is a very depressing book, with only a happy ending in the last chapter. Katniss had PTSD, Peeta, Johanna, and Annie get tortured inhumanly. Two main, amazing characters die horrible deaths. Also the "good guys" create inhuman weapons to use against the Capitol.
